Kirkman Circularity Center
About the project
The Kirkman Circularity Center is in rural Shelby County, Iowa. The manure from this farm will produce renewable natural gas each year. After the center is operational, complete with two digesters, the biogas generated by this manure will be captured, cleaned, and converted into RNG, which can be used as transportation fuel, industrial heating, and a host of other applications. Developed in the third tranche of RNG projects from Brightmark and Chevron’s joint venture, Kirkman is expected to begin producing RNG in 2024.

“At Kirkman farms, we strive to do right by our employees, animals, customers, neighbors, environment, and our overall community. Brightmark has been a great partner working together with us to become a carbon-neutral dairy farm by converting methane from cow manure into a renewable natural gas in an environmentally sustainable and continuous process.”
– Matt Van Baale, Owner/Partner Kirkman Farms
