<h2 class="s8">Job Summary: </h2>
We are seeking an HSE Technician to join the Plastics HSE team. The HSE Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the protection of people and the protection of the environment. 

<h2 class="s13">Responsibilities:</h2>
<ul>
<li class="s15">Supports HSE department by, maintaining, correcting, and revising all health, safety and environmental procedures and plans for the site.</li>
<li class="s15">This includes OSHA, IOSHA, IDEM, EPA, NFPA, and other regulatory bodies.</li>
<li class="s15">Complete audits and inspections on various equipment, grounds, PPE, etc. </li>
<li class="s15">Provide and/or facilitate HSE training as needed, specifically focused on skill based and new hire.</li>
<li class="s15">Enter HSE data/corrective actions. Near Miss, audits, inspection, etc. </li>
<li class="s15">Maintain SDS for all areas.</li>
<li class="s15">Perform Site Level and area Risk Assessments (aka JHA) to identify hazards and implement corrective actions &amp; controls.</li>
<li class="s15">Support MOC, PSM, all permitting (Safe Work Permit, CSE, etc.).</li>
<li class="s15">Support daily standup meetings.</li>
<li class="s15">Deploy HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) initiatives in support of a Zero Incident Culture.</li>
<li class="s15">Maintain electronic HSE systems.</li>
<li class="s15">Support the HSE Committee and serve as a member of various site teams.</li>
<li class="s15">Performs related administrative responsibilities as needed.</li>
<li class="s15">Other duties as assigned.</li>

<h2 class="s19">Experience &amp; Professional Qualifications:</h2>

<li class="s15">4 years or more experience working in Health, Safety and Environmental. </li>
<li class="s15">Must be proficient with Internet, Email, and Microsoft Office programs.</li>
<li class="s15">Strong oral and written communications, including the ability to effectively present to both large and small groups.</li>
<li class="s15">Ability to problem solve and lead by example.</li>
<li class="s15">Organized and detail oriented.</li>
<li class="s15">Previous HSE Compliance experience dealing with high hazards sites preferred. </li>
<li class="s15">Experience managing various permit types preferred.</li>
<li class="s15">Oil and gas and/or chemical manufacturing experience preferred.</li>
<li class="s15">Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred. </li>
<li class="s15">Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Hazardous Material Manager (CHMM) preferred.</li>

<li>Certified in all production operator positions in both Liquid and Solids area.</li>
<li>Knowledge of Process Safety Management is preferred</li>
<li>Ability to effectively lead individuals and teams through professional, respect and focus on high standards</li>
<li>Ability to impact and influence results with personal interaction, guidance, and coaching.</li>
