Hurley Circularity Center
About the project
The Hurley Circularity Center in Hurley, South Dakota, includes four new anaerobic digesters on the newly built Full Circle Dairy Farm in Turner County. The biogas generated by this manure will be captured, cleaned, and converted into RNG. The Hurley Circularity Center is part of the third tranche of projects developed under the Brightmark RNG Holdings LLC joint venture with Chevron U.S.A. Inc.
Project benefits
GHG REDUCTIONS
This project reduces emissions by an average of over 41,000 tons of CO2eq annually. That is equivalent to planting more than 49,000 acres of forest per year.
RESOURCE RECOVERY
The process of recovering and processing manure from the farms prevents excess emissions from escaping into the local air and water.
WASTE TO NEW PRODUCTS
The center generates renewable natural gas annually, as well as other renewable products, like fertilizer.
“We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to plan this anaerobic digestion project as a component of our new Full Circle Dairy. We are repeat partners with Brightmark for a simple reason: we know that we can trust them to get the job done.”
– Greg Van Ravenswaay, Manager, Full Circle Dairy
