<h2>Job Summary: </h2>
The Maintenance Utility Technician is responsible for all duties related to utilities and facilities maintenance at Brightmark Plastics Renewal in Ashley, IN. This position reports to the Maintenance Manager. Pay rate starts at $26.25 an hour (experience dependent) for 10 hour shifts (subject to change).
 
<h2>Responsibilities:</h2>
<ul>
<li>Responsible for ensuring and documenting that all manufacturing utilities and facilities are functioning safely and efficiently. This includes the interior and exterior of the plant.</li>
<li>Observe all safety rules and always use proper safety equipment.</li>
<li>Maintains a clean and orderly work area.</li>
<li>Assists in operations of boilers, air compressors, chillers, air rotation units, make-up air units, wastewater treatment facility, feed water supply equipment and fire suppression system.</li>
<li>Assists in the monitoring of all control panels in the utility control rooms.</li>
<li>Assists other team members in the performance of their duties.</li>
<li>Assists in the monitoring and adjusts chemical additions for optimum boiler, air compressor, chiller performance and wastewater treatment plant performance.</li>
<li>Enters work orders, identify parts and equipment and schedules work to ensure all equipment is properly maintained according to the preventative maintenance schedule.</li>
<li>Performs duties and directs activities according to our emergency preparedness plan.</li>
<li>Document accurate records of preventative maintenance and utility operations.</li>
<li>Read, understand, and communicate content from maintenance manuals.</li>
<li>Understanding the changing needs of the site through time and seasons to effectively maintain all utilities systems.</li>
<li>Assist maintenance technicians during project work and post project clean up.</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned.</li>
</ul>
 
<h2>Requirements:</h2>
<ul>
<li>Able to lift up to 50 lbs.</li>
<li>Must be able to constantly bend, climb, twist, reach and pull during the shift.</li>
<li>Able to work on a ladder and/or in a lift basket. Ability to stand for entire shift (5 or more hours).</li>
<li>Ability to work on steep and uneven terrain in a variety of weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain and snow.</li>

We are seeking an HSE Technician to join the Plastics HSE team. The HSE Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the protection of people and the protection of the environment. 

<h2 class="s13">Responsibilities:</h2>

<li class="s15">Supports HSE department by, maintaining, correcting, and revising all health, safety and environmental procedures and plans for the site.</li>
<li class="s15">This includes OSHA, IOSHA, IDEM, EPA, NFPA, and other regulatory bodies.</li>

In partnership with the Guy Harvey Foundation and Ocean First Education, we’re working to empower students around the globe to join us in “Changing the Tide”—developing a curriculum that focuses on the impacts of plastic on oceans, marine life, and the entire planet.

Through the specifically tailored curriculum, students can expand their knowledge of the importance of plastic and the drawbacks associated with its production and use. Students will explore how cutting-edge science and technology are leading the way for a mindset shift from plastic as a waste to plastic as a resource. The ultimate goal is for students to educate their peers about plastics and new technologies that reduce the environmental impacts of plastics.
